Sculptra Body
Leamington Spa
As one of the first clinics in the UK to offer this revolutionary treatment, we are delighted to introduce - SCULPTRA for body!
Sculptra Body is an injectable treatment that works with your own skin to firm, lift and improve the quality of the skin across the body. Rather than filling an area instantly, Sculptra stimulates your skin to produce fresh collagen (+/- volume) over the weeks and months that follow, so the change appears gradually and looks natural
We already offer Sculptra for the face. Sculptra Body extends the same collagen-stimulating science to the buttocks, the backs of the thighs, the upper arms and the décolletage, where skin can lose firmness, tone and contour with age, weight change or the menopause.
What areas can be treated?
-
Décolletage (chest wrinkles)
-
Upper arms
-
Backs of the thighs
-
Buttocks (to improve cellulite, reduce hip dips, or build volume in the buttocks)
-
Abdomen (to reduce that wrinkly skin)
Sculptra and the appearance of cellulite
On the buttocks and the backs of the thighs, Sculptra can also help improve the appearance of cellulite. By stimulating collagen in the layers beneath the skin, it firms and supports the area and can reduce the appearance of dimpling for a smoother skin surface
Why choose The Avery Clinic?
The Avery Clinic is a multi-award-winning, doctor-led clinic in the heart of Leamington Spa, founded by Dr Alison Colville (GP and aesthetics doctor). Because we're medically led, your lesions are assessed with a clinician's eye, not just removed, but properly considered first. We hold Save Face accreditation with Platinum safety status, and our whole approach is built around making you feel supported, informed and genuinely cared for.

More about Sculptra Body...
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a regenerative biostimulator. Its active ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid, a material that has been used safely in medicine for decades and is fully broken down and absorbed by the body over time.
Sculptra is not a dermal filler that simply adds volume. Instead, it prompts your skin & tissue to repair process to build new collagen, the structural protein that keeps skin firm, elastic and smooth.
Collagen naturally declines with age, at roughly one percent a year from our twenties, and the fall steepens around the menopause. As collagen thins, skin on the body can start to look crepey, lax or loose. By encouraging your body to replace some of that lost collagen, Sculptra Body helps skin feel firmer and look more even over a course of treatment.
What to expect?
Every treatment begins with a consultation so we can confirm that Sculptra Body is suitable for you. A typical course is three treatments spaced six weeks apart, with the exact number of vials of Sculptra depending on the area and your goals. Each session takes place at our Leamington Spa clinic and involves a series of small injections using a cannula into the area being treated.
You will not see the final result straight away. Collagen builds gradually, so improvement appears over the weeks and months following your sessions. Once your course is complete, results can typically be maintained for around two years, with many people choosing a maintenance session every twelve months to keep their results looking their best.
Is there any downtime?
Sculptra Body is a non-surgical treatment, so downtime is minimal. Some people notice mild tenderness, redness, swelling or bruising around the injection sites, which usually settles within a few days. Dr Colville will talk you through aftercare, including a simple massage routine for the treated area, at your appointment.
Pricing
Because every treatment plan is tailored to the area, your goals and the number of sessions you need, we confirm pricing at your consultation. This makes sure the plan and the cost are right for you before you commit to anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sculptra Body safe?
Sculptra is a CE marked medical device that has been used in aesthetic medicine for many years, and body treatment is well tolerated when carried out by a trained medical practitioner. As with any injectable there are possible side effects, most commonly temporary tenderness, bruising or swelling.
How long does Sculptra Body last?
Once your course of sessions is complete, results can typically be maintained for around two years. We recommend a maintenance session every 12 months.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people have three sessions, spaced six weeks apart. The exact number of vials of Sculptra product to be used over the three sessions depends on the area being treated and your individual goals, and is agreed at your consultation.
When will I see results?
Sculptra works gradually by stimulating your own collagen, so you will not see the final result immediately. Improvement builds over the weeks and months after your sessions.
Is Sculptra a filler?
No. Unlike a traditional dermal filler, which adds volume instantly, Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating biostimulator that prompts your skin to build its own collagen and, where intended, volume, over time.
Does Sculptra actually lift the buttocks, or just improve the skin?
It can do both. By stimulating collagen, Sculptra improves the quality and firmness of the skin and can also create a lifting effect and improve contour in the buttocks through fat cells stimulation. The results are gradual and natural rather than the dramatic change of surgery.
Can Sculptra help with cellulite?
On the buttocks and backs of the thighs, Sculptra can help improve the appearance of cellulite by stimulating collagen to firm and support the skin and reduce the look of dimpling. Cellulite is very common and results vary from person to person, so we will talk you through what to expect at your consultation.
Is a Sculptra bum lift the same as a Brazilian butt lift?
No. A Sculptra treatment is non-surgical and does not use implants or fat transfer, so it is not a Brazilian butt lift or a liquid BBL. It works by stimulating your own collagen to firm, lift and improve the shape and skin quality of the area, rather than the dramatic change of surgery.
